Bruce Springsteen has postponed his US tour dates for the rest of September due to treatment for a peptic ulcer.

The 73-year-old rock legend had previously canceled two August concerts and was set to perform eight more in September.

Medical advisors recommended the postponement to treat symptoms of peptic ulcer disease.

Peptic ulcers are sores in the stomach lining or small intestine, causing symptoms such as abdominal pain, indigestion, heartburn, acid reflux, and nausea.

Bruce Springsteen and his E Street Band expressed sadness over the decision and apologized to fans, especially those in Philadelphia.

Springsteen assured fans that the postponed shows would be rescheduled, and he thanked them for their understanding and support.

After the September shows, Springsteen had already planned to take October off before continuing the tour in Canada in November.
